MS Football Finishes Season Strong

The Middle School Warrior Football team defeated Conestoga in the final game of the season.  The Warriors held Conestoga's offense to only a handful of first downs while pounding the ball down the field, led by key blocks.  One of the touchdowns scored by the Warriors came on a beautifully executed pass play, made possible by the blocking by the line.  On defense and special teams, the Warriors covered the ball well.  This victory left the Warriors with a 2-2 record for the 2011 season.  An end-of-the-year banquet will be held on Sunday, Oct.

MS Football Team Defeats Centennial

Last Tuesday the MS Football team traveled to Utica to play Centennial where the Warriors dominated on both sides of the ball.  The defense kept Centennial scoreless until the second half and forced many punts.  Between several turnovers caused by Warrior defenders and great coverage on special teams, the Warrior offense played most of the game with great field position.  Offensively, the Warriors pounded the ball down the field, enabled by key blocks.  Final score -- 26-8.

MS Football Results 9/27

The Lincoln Lutheran MS Warriors played Lincoln Christian on Tuesday, September 27th.  Although the A Team Warriors had some long drives and scored eight points, they were unable to stop the Lincoln Christian offense.  The final score of the A game was 8-26.  The B Team, however, came out strong and put up 16 points while the defense kept Lincoln Christian from scoring.  The Crusaders could not shut down the quick run game of the B Team, assisted by key blocks from the line and receivers.  The final score of the B game was 16-0.

MS FB Results - Tues, Sept 13

The Warriors traveled to Syracuse yesterday (Tuesday) to play a tough, well-coached team.  The A team moved the ball well, enabled by key blocks and the hard work of the offensive line.  The Warriors came up just short of the endzone on several long drives.  On defense, the Warriors played with heart, making multiple tackles for loss and sacks.  Although the scoreboard read 0-14 at the end of the game, the Warriors accomplished their goal of glorifying God through their attitudes and actions.

MS FB Schedule Change

Due to track construction at Lincoln Christian, the MS Warrior FB team will host Lincoln Christian on Sept 27th.  The A team competes first, starting at 4:00 pm, and the B team follows as soon as possible.  Remember to bring a lawn chair if inclined to sit and cheer!  Immediately following the end of the B game, families are invited to participate in the pep rally at the mall, which begins at 7:00.
