Boys Soccer Results 3/29

The boys soccer team won big on Tuesday, 10-1 over Seward.  Leading the scoring was Uriah Soenksen who netted a school record 6 goals in the game.  With the win the Warriors improve to 3-1 on the season.  The JV team also defeated Seward and similarly improved to 3-1 on the season.  The next home games are this Saturday at 10 am at Spirit Park.

Boys Soccer Begins Season 2-0

The varsity and jv boys soccer teams started the season with two strong wins each to begin 2-0.  On Thursday, the JV and Varsity boys each beat Concordia, Omaha 3-0 and on Saturday, the varsity beat GICC 3-0 while the JV defeated GICC 3-1.  The next home game is versus Crete on Tuesday, at 4:30 pm, at Spirit Park.

Soccer Matches 3/17

The boys and girls played Omaha Concordia in soccer on Thursday, March 17th.  Our girls lost 1-3 in overtime.  Our varsity and JV boys both won 3-0. 

Mickey Waldron Named Lutheran Soccer All-American

Mickey Waldron (class of 2015) was recently named to the second team of the Lutheran High School 2015 All-American team.  This award honors the best of the nation's soccer players that compete at one of the 85 Lutheran high schools across the country.  Selection is based on career statistics and regional honors (Mickey was also selected to the Journal-Star Class B 1st team All-State roster).  Mickey joins four previous Warrior boys soccer players in earning All-American honors.  Congratulations Mickey!

2014-2015 Girls Soccer team recognized for a GPA of 3.41

The Lincoln Lutheran girls soccer team has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with a 2014-15 High School Team Academic Award. The NSCAA annually recognizes high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom and on the field.

Deeter & Sain Sign with Concordia

Congratulations to Maria Deeter and Hannah Sain!  They signed to play soccer for the Bulldogs at Concordia University in Seward.  The signing ceremony took place in the Lincoln Lutheran Media Center on Wednesday, March 18th.  Maria and Hannah were surrounded by family, friends and coaches who have been a part of their support system through the years.  We want to wish Maria and Hannah God's richest blessings on their college careers at Concordia!

Alumni Jacob Eley Honored

2014 graduate Jacob Eley was named as a first team Lutheran High Schools All-American soccer player.  Selected from a list containing dozens of nominated Lutheran high school soccer players nationwide, Jacob's first team recognition marks him as one of the top 20 Lutheran soccer players in the country.

Jacob joins three previous alumni of the Warriors Boys' Soccer program to have earned national recognition for skill on the soccer field.  Congratulations Jacob!

Middle School Boys Spring Soccer

Middle school boys (6-8 grade) that are interested in playing spring soccer through the YMCA should contact Coach Joe Stepanek to register for the team.  No skill is necessary, but useful.  Whether you are new to the game or experienced, the goal is to give kids a chance to play as Warriors.  Additional information can be provided by Mr. Nathan Bassett (High school teacher and coach).

High School Boys Indoor Soccer Sign-up

High school boys interested in playing first session indoor soccer need to sign-up with Mr. Bassett beginning Monday, October 6.  Final registration date is Friday, October 24.  All payment must be received by October 24 to reserve your spot on the roster.  No roster additions will be accepted after October 24.
