MS Track Results 4/11

Both the Boys and Girls MS track teams did well Monday ath the Wilber-Clatonia track meet. The Girls finished 2nd overall, falling short of 1st by just 2.5 points. The boys finished 5th overall.

Several individuals and teams did very well. Morgan Able places 1st in High Jump and 2nd in both the 100 & 300 M Hurdles. Abbie Wolegemuth placed 1st in Discuss. Leah Bassett took 2nd in the 200m Dash and 3rd in the 100m Dash. The 1200 m relay teams took 1st and the 3200 m relay team finished 2nd.

MS Track results 4/7

The MS track relay meet in Milford on Thursday 4/7 was a windy one.  The boys team got 3rd overall and the girls team got 4th overall.  The boys took home 6 3rd place medals, 2 4th place medals and 2 5th place medals. The girls took home 2 1st place medals, 1 2nd place medal, 2 3rd place medal, 1 4th place medal and 3 5th place medals.

HS Track Results from Tuesday

Congrats to the HS Track team on fine performances at the Thunderbird Invitational on Tuesday. The girls team 1st place with 125 team points, and boys improved on their scoring, with 31 points at this meet. Some of the top competitors were as follows: Kacey Kohlhof winning the 100m and 200m, Mackenzie Koepke winning the high jump with a jump of 5'1". and Josie Puelz,taking 1st in her very first meet competing in the pole vault clearing 9'0"!

The MS Track team did a great job on Thursday, March 31st in the cold and windy conditions.  

HS Track Results - Thurs. 3/31

The HS Track teams competed at the Norris Invitational meet on Thursday. The athletes had good showings despite the tough competition and poor weather conditions! The girls track team still finished second as a team taking the Runner-up plaque! The Warriors scored a total of 107 points. Rebecca Ziems won the 400m and Kate Staab won the 300 m hurdles. Kacey Kohlhof took 2nd in the 100m and 200. Avery Blahauvietz finished 2nd in the shot put and Josie Puelz second in the 100 m hurdles.All 3 LL relay teams finished in second place as well.

HS/MS Husker Track Camp

Husker Track (not affiliated with UNL) is hosting a number of track camps this spring and summer at the Ed Weir Outdoor Stadium. HS Track Results - Sat, March 19

Congrats to both the girls and boys H.S. Track teams as they went 1st and 2nd at the NWU Indoor Meet on Saturday! All of the athletes had fine performances, especially for this early in the season. Both teams had many medals for the day, of special note everyone on the girls team earned points for the team! The girls took 5 of the gold medals, and the boys team had 2. This included Kacey Kohhof winning the 55 m, Avery Blahauvietz taking 1st in the shot put, and Rachel Ziems in the 800m. The 1600 and 3200 m. relay teams also took 1st place.

Avery Blahauvietz Signs with Morningside

Congratulations to Avery Blahauvietz! She signed to compete in Track & Field for the Mustangs at Morningside College. The signing ceremony took place in the Lincoln Lutheran Media Center on Wednesday, Jan. 6. Avery was surrounded by family, friends and coaches who have been a part of her support system through the years. We want to wish Avery God's richest blessing on her college career at Morningside!

State Track Results

As our theme for the season is FINISH from 2 Tim. 4:7, and that they did, with great effort, outstanding performances, all while being strong Christian witnesses. More records broken, many medals received, three 1st place finishes - gold medals, and the girls capturing the State Runner-up trophy with a very exciting finish! Wow! As coaches, we could not have asked them for anything better - these athletes came to perform! Read on for more detail.
