Lutheran sweeps volleyball pair

Lincoln Lutheran defeated Aquinas (25-21 & 25-20) and Hastings St. Cecilia (25-21 & 25-19) each in two sets Thursday to earn the No. 7 seed for the Centennial Conference volleyball tournament. In Thursday's round-robin action, Josie Puelz had eight kills against Aquinas and nine against St. Cecilia to lead the Warriors. Hope Leimbach had 24 set assists in each match while Rebecca Ziems added 31 total digs. Lutheran will place rival Lincoln Christian in Saturday's opening round at Aquinas High School. St.

Volleyball Results

Lincoln Lutheran took on Wahoo, Tuesday, October 4th with some exciting matches.  The Reserve team got a victory going 2-0.  The JV team put up a fight in their match before going down 0-2.  The Varsity match was a thriller!! Our warriors lost 23-25, then dominated their 25-18 2nd set win, before dropping another 2 point set 26-24.  In the final set Wahoo won 25-17.

HS Volleyball - Consolation Champs at Ashland

The HS Volleyball team had a great comeback, winning in three sets in the Consolation Championship game vs. Auburn at the Ashland-Greenwood tournament on Saturday, Oct. 1. They will play again on Tues., Oct. 4 at home vs Wahoo beginning at 5 pm. The Varisty Conference Tournament will begin on Thurs. Oct. 6 at Hastings St. Cecilia. Come out and cheer on the Warriors to victory!

LL VB Reserves & JV Win @ Bergan

Both the LL Reserves and JV VB teams won at Fremont Bergan last night. The Reserves won their game in 2 sets, the JV won theirs in 3 sets. The Varsity and JV Teams will be back in action tonight at the home triangular. The Varsity will go up against #10 ranked GICC and #8 Concordia beginning at 5 pm. 

Pius Defeats Freshman VB

Pius defeated LL Freshman vb team 25-9, 25-23, but it was a great comeback in the second set!

HS VB Coach Sue Ziegler recorded her 300th career win with a three-set sweep over Auburn

Lincoln Lutheran coach Sue Ziegler recorded her 300th career win with a three-set sweep over Auburn 25-15, 25-17, 25-22 on Tuesday.

The Warriors recorded 13 ace serves as a team in Ziegler's milestone, led by Hope Leimbach (five) and Lexie Kriezel (four). Leimbach added 31 set assists, as the Warriors totaled 30 digs as a team.

Ellie L'Heureux and Josie Puelz had three blocks apiece, and Amber LeGrande led the offense with 12 kills.

Volleyball Results

The Warrior Volleyball teams had a very successful evening on Tuesday, as all 3 teams defeated Auburn in the first home matches of the season! The FR/Reserves team won in 2 sets 25-14, 25-16. The JV team won 25-19, 25-18, and the Varsity capped off the night with winning all 3 sets in the best of 5 series 25-15, 25-17, 25-22. They had a great come from behind rally to win in the 3rd set. Great job Warriors!!

Varsity VB Results at Malcolm Tourney

The Varsity volleyball team finished with a 3-2 record. placing them 4th out of 10 teams in the Malcolm tournament. The Warriors had a close 3rd place match, but came up short after going extra points n the 3rd set with Fort Calhoun. The team is in action tomorrow night at home with Auburn. All 3 team will be playing starting at 5:00. 

Volleyball Results 9/8

The Varsity volleyball team won both volleyball matches Thursday at the Malcolm Invitational. The Warriors defeated Fairbury 25-15, 25-17 and then also won their next match over Conestoga 25-14, 25-11. In the Fairbury match LL had 10 aces, 3 were from setter Hope Leimbach, She contributed 13 set assists, 9 digs and 5 kills along with Paige Ravenscroft's 5 kills.

HS Volleyball Results 9/6

All 3 high school volleyball teams were in action on Tuesday night at Lincoln Christian. The Crusaders came away with the victories that evening, but the Warriors are showing that they have potential to take on some of the tough competition this season, Thanks for the nice support from our Warrior fans! The Varsity team will be in action again on Thursday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Malcolm Invitational.
