Pennies for Patients

All FCA'ers that are carrying around change boxes for Pennies for Patients, Tuesday is the first turn in date to see where we are at for our goal. Bring your box in to Mrs. Ziegler's office sometime before or after school to have your money counted. Remember, whichever class collects the most change will win a pizza party if we can reach our goal!

FCA Fundraiser

The FCA Huddle group started a fundraiser to help raise money in support of Pennies for Patients.  The huddle members decorated and designed created boxes that they will be caring around school in hopes of raising 400 dollars.  Pennies for Patients are an organization that has been around since 1994 to help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  In hopes to help even further the research efforts, Lincoln Lutheran takes part in this fundraiser every year.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Lincoln Lutheran FCA has started the 2012 year off with a kick!  The huddle recently featured guess speaker, Taylor Katt.  Taylor Katt is a 2011 graduate who is now attending and playing soccer for Wesleyan University.  Taylor Katt talked about dealing with balancing faith life and college life, as busy and overwhelming it can be, while also keeping God as the center focus of daily life.

January 10th FCA Huddle

Brooke Stinson and Cassie Hedlund led the FCA Huddle on January 10th. They shared a video about former Texas quarterback Colt McCoy. Throughout the video, Colt discussed what being a leader under pressure is all about. He explained what being a leader meant and that it meant leading in God's light. He challenged us to show Christ through not only our words, but also through our daily lives and the actions we do. The huddle then talked about how difficult it is to always be a leader and show that you are a Christian by your actions.
