The 7-Ups

On December 7, FCA met once again to listen to Trinity youth group director, Treva Ptaschek. She discussed waking up, dressing up, shutting up, standing up, looking up, reaching up, and lifting up. With each up, Christ speaks to us in the Bible. We wake up and we chose to have a good day or a bad day (Psalm 118:24). We dress up and we put a smile on our faces to make others feel good (1 Samuel 16:7). We shut up and say only nice things so people will listen to what we are saying (Proverbs 13:3). We stand up for what we believe in (Galations 6:9-10).

Performing for Christ

On October 12 at 7:30 A.M. students met for FCA. Robbie Trent came to be the guest speaker at the meeting. He is a office representative for FCA. One of the first questions Trent asked the students was, "What is winning?" Many answered with what society considers winning, which is coming out on top, or the final score. God answers this question differently in Phillipians 1:1-20, 3:7-8, and 4:9. In order to achieve success or win in God's eyes, athletes must perform for God. When kids play with a good attitude and for the glory of God, they succeed with the One that matters.
