High School Choir Successful at Districts.

     Thursday and Friday, the 22 and 23 of April, was the District music competition for the High School Choir. Director Jared Wilhelm and student teacher Emily Bruflat led the choir, jazz choir, and soloists that attended. The ensembles at Districts are rated on a 1 to 5 scale, 1 being the highest. The jazz choir performed two pieces, Bim Bom and Smoke Get In Your Eyes. The choir, also performed two pieces, Veni Sancti Spiritus and Witness. Along with these pieces were many solos. After the competition, the choir recieved a 1, jazz choir a 2 and soloists a mixture of 1s and 2s. It was a very successful week for these singers.

Christmas Concerts

 Christmas Concerts Are Coming Up!

High school and middle school bands and choirs will be putting on Christmas concerts in the coming weeks.  The students will present a variety of old and new arrangements of classic Christmas music.  Come and enjoy the sounds of the season as we share our gifts in thanks to the greatest gift of all, our Savior.  The middle school concert is on December 15th beginning at 7:00 pm.  All middle school ensembles will be participating.  The high school will present their concert two days later on December 17th which also begins at 7:00 pm.  This will feature the Chorale and the Symphonic Band. 

 Thanks to all for the on going support throughout the year and we hope to see you there!

Fruit Sale Ending Soon

The last day to order fruit from the Music students is Monday, November 16th.

Music Department

The Lincoln Lutheran Music Department will be selling fruit again this year.  It would be delivered around December 10th,  just in time for Christmas. You can contact any student in choir or band to take your order or email Lois Scholl at kllandm@juno.com for an order form.  Orders and money need to be turned into to Mr. Wilhelm by Monday, November 16, 2009. 

Music Department Soup Supper

"Thank you" to everyone who supported the Lincoln Lutheran Music Department by attending the soup supper and concert last night.  A special "thank you" goes out to Doug and Tammi Wiemer for all of their help in the kitchen, all of the volunteers who cooked, setup, served, cleaned, and donated bars and cookies for this event,  and to Mr. Wilhelm and Miss Wisroth for putting on a fabulous concert.

Fall Soup Supper

We are in need of volunteers for the Lincoln Lutheran Fall Soup Supper which will be held on Monday, November 9th at 5:30 p.m.  The MS/HS Music Concert will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Below is a list of areas where volunteers are needed.

  • Coooking (4-5:30 p.m.)
  • Setup (4-5:30 p.m.)
  • Serving (5:15-6:15 or 6:00-7:00 p.m.)
  • Cleanup (6:00-7:30 p.m.)
