Upcoming Events for Student Council

Student Council always stays busy throughout the year. Right now they are especially busy. On Monday, April 22, they had a pep rally to just give the school a little fun and celebrate those participating in spring sports. Part of the pep rally even involved the creation of a school-wide "Harlem Shake" video. A few of the Stu-Co members also recently delivered new baby items and fleece tie blankets made by the group to the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center.  These donations were made possible with proceeds from the NLSW change contest and the high school fun night.

End of Year for Student Council

On April 4, 2012 the Student Council will be holding an American Red Cross blood drive in the small gym from 10 am to 3 pm. Students 16 years and older are eligible to donate blood. Students who are 16 need a parent consent form signed in order to donate his/her blood. These can be picked up from Miss Bockelman.  The goal is to get 40 units of blood for the American Red Cross.

The Student Council Acts as Angels

This year the Student Council continued their tradition of the Angel Tree. Students were allowed to take an angel and buy a Christmas present for women and children served by the Friendship Home. The Angel Tree lasted for 2 weeks. The turnout of gifts was great!

Student Council Update

During November, the Student Council continued the tradition of selling turkeys. Each turkey cost a dollar and the proceeds went to the Lutheran Food Pantry, and nearly $200 was raised. Miss Bockelman and the Student Council had a competition of who could sell the most turkeys. Miss B won and now Student Council owes her a pedicure.
