Lincoln Lutheran's Athletic Department is excited to announce that Allen Simpson has been named as the head coach for the High School Girls' Basketball team. For the past two season, Simpson has served as assistant coach under Coach Olson.
Prior to being at Lincoln Lutheran, Simpson served as head basketball coach at Lincoln NorthStar high school for three years and was an assistant women's basketball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan for two years. His passion for basketball was an instrumental reason he started the Nebraska Lasers, a non-profit organization to serve both youth and high school basketball players in Nebraska.
Allen Simpson received a Bachelor's degree in Office Administration/Secondary Education from Northwest Missouri State in 1987. He served in the military for 30 years. Simpson is married to Tonya and has two daughters, Ashley and Erin, and one son, Jameson, who is a 7th grader at Lincoln Lutheran.
Simpson is excited to join the Lincoln Lutheran athletics department and said, "I am extremely honored to walk the path God has chosen for me as the next head basketball coach at Lincoln Lutheran High School. I promise our young ladies will work extremely hard, play for their teammates and most importantly play to glorify God."
