Breanne Blair Collects Coats & Hats for People's City Mission (December 2017)

Prompted by seeing homeless people along the street, 7th grader Breanne Blair collected coats and hats for those in need.  Bre made posters that were distributed around Lincoln Lutheran as well as at her parents' work places.  In less than a week's time, seven large bags full of coats and hats were collected.  Those bags were donated to the People's City Mission.  Breanne and her Religion-7 teacher Lyle Ziems dropped off the coats and hats at the Shelter on West "O".  Breanne was warmly greeted by PCM staff members Charity & Nikki.  Charity even gave Breanne and Mr. Ziems a tour of the facility.

PCM Communication Director Nikki Oswald said the following in an email to Mr. Ziems: "It was delightful to meet Bre & hear her story of why she gives. She is encouraging and inspiring and I know with her heart, she will do great things (she already is)."

With a tear of appreciation in her eye, Nikki interviewed Breanne.  Check out the video of that interview posted by Nikki on the PCM Facebook page!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc-jmCc9t4Y&feature=youtu.be

Great job of sharing the love of Christ with others, Breanne!

Breanne is the daughter of Keith (Kenny) & Jenny Blair.
