Breanne Blair Collects Coats & Hats for People's City Mission

Prompted by seeing homeless people along the street, 7th grader Breanne Blair collected coats and hats for those in need.  Bre made posters that were distributed around Lincoln Lutheran as well as at her parents' work places.  In less than a week's time, seven large bags full of coats and hats were collected.  Those bags were donated to the People's City Mission.  Breanne and her Religion-7 teacher Lyle Ziems dropped off the coats and hats at the Shelter on West "O".  Breanne was warmly greeted by PCM staff members Charity &

State Football

The 2017 Varsity Football team was one game away from playing for the C-2 State Championship. They beat North Platte St. Patricks 35-0, Arcadia Loup-City 21-12 and lost to Centennial 33-20.  They ended up with a final ranking of 6th place in the Journal Star. and 5th place in the Omaha World Herald. Congrats on a great season.

3rd Place at State Volleyball

Congratulations to the 2017 High School Varsity Volleyball team on their 3rd place finish at State. They finished their successful season with a 31-6 record.  The  team beat Ord in the first round of the State Tournament, winning all 3 sets. They lost a close second match to GICC in 4 sets, and then took down North Bend in 3 sets. Great work Warriors!!!

Giving Thanks with Thankful Turkeys

The Student Council continued their November tradition of selling "Thankful Turkeys" from November 6-20.  Those who participated purchased a paper turkey for $1, and then wrote things for which they are thankful on them, so they could be added to the display in the East Entrance of the school.  This year, the project was designated to benefit the People's City Mission.

Lincoln Lutheran Wins Food Fight!

Lincoln Lutheran students recently participated in the student-led food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln.  Lincoln Lutheran students collected 1415 pounds of food or 3.7 meals per student during the drive.  That was enough to win the small school division of the competition.  The Fork returns to Lincoln Lutheran!  Thanks to everyone who donated to the food drive.
