All Five Fall Sports qualify for State! (November 2017)

It has been an amazing fall sports season for the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors. For the first time in school history, all five of the fall sports teams have qualified for State competition, with our girls Softball team winning State!

This season started with a new sport for Lincoln Lutheran, girls Softball. Working in cooperation with Crete, we had one student, Freshman Leah Jurgens, who went out with team. Leah made major contributions to the team and for the first time for the Crete Cardinals, the team qualified for state and then won the Class B title. Next season looks to add a few more LL students to the mix and we look forward to another strong season next year!

The Girls Golf Team returned this year to State competition for the 7th time in a row. The four golfers, Juniors Logan Eschilman and Sophia Fahleson, Sophomore Natalie Barrett, and Freshman Grace Fahleson, made a strong showing finishing 12th as a team. All the girls battled hard through the rough weather conditions on the first day of the tournament and gained valuable experience for next season for which they will all be returning. This season saw the girls all lower their personal best scores considerably. They earned many top ten finishes and finished runner up at the District Championship.  They have had lots of great experiences to build upon for next season!.

The HS Cross Country team had a season filled with personal bests culminating in the entire boys team qualifying for State along with Senior Kayla Steinbauer representing the girls team. The Warrior cross country team ended its season with seven runners representing Lincoln Lutheran at the State Cross Country meet in Kearney on October 20th.  Kayla Steinbauer finished with a time of 25:14.  The boys' team finished in 18th place.  Running for the Warriors were: Tanner Lebo (19:17.8), Noah L'Heureux (19:17.9), Jacob Meyer (20:29) , Jack Rolland(21:39), Ryan Hlavity (21:47), and Colton Meyer (22:55).

Lincoln Lutheran's High School volleyball team finds themselves once again making a berth into State competition this year after several years away. The team will face off against Ord in first round State play on Thursday, Nov. 9th at 7:30 at Northstar High School. The Lady Warriors have had a very strong season with a 29-5 final record, which included beating two Class B schools during the regular season. They have gone 3-0 in all their post season play beating Milford, Lincoln Christian and Broken Bow.

The Warriors Football team has had a very strong season as well, losing only two games this season. They went into the State playoffs ranked 11th with a 7-2 record. They took down #6 North Platte St. Patrick's in the first round of play-offs and then #3 ranked Arcadia-Loup City in the second round. The Warriors will face off against #2 ranked Centennial at Centennial on Friday, 11/10. Lincoln Lutheran is looking for a first time berth into the State Championship! Go Warriors!
