SKILLS USA Robotics club students

This spring Lincoln Lutheran's Middle School began a SKILLS USA chapter, becoming the first nonpublic chapter in the state of Nebraska.  Thursday, 2/27/20, 15 middle school students traveled to Grand Island to compete at the middle school competition.  Students competed in Speech, Engineering Challenge, and Robotics-Urban Search and Rescue.  The students had a great time, and learned a great deal from this experience. 

The students also returned home with some awards. In speech, Logan Lampe earned first place. In the Robotics-Urban Search and Rescue competition, Lincoln Lutheran swept the competition by placing first, second and third. The team of Robert Schmidt (7th grade)  and Konner Bunjer (6th grade) earned first place.  The team of Isaac Hoffman (7th grade) and Preston Wiemer (7th grade) earned second place and the team of Oliver Kollipara (8th grade) and Tyler Schlueter (8th grade) earned third place.
