Students have the opportunity to be involved in several different organizations including National Honor Society, Community Outreach Leadership Team, Journalism, Tech Center, and both Middle and High School Student Council. The Booster Club is an adult-led organization promoting Lincoln Lutheran athletics.

The National Honor Society is a national service-leadership organization with high standards for entrance and for remaining a member. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.6 or higher with at least three semesters of attendance at Lincoln Lutheran. Students selected for membership have demonstrated that they are capable of performing at a consistently high standard of scholarship as well as a high standard of leadership, service and character. Members of Lincoln Lutheran's National Honor Society serve their school, church and community in chapter events that include leading groups on Discover Lincoln Lutheran Night and 5th Grade Visit Day, conducting a Student Hunger Drive, and reading to elementary students on Dr. Seuss Day.

The Lincoln Lutheran High School Student Council includes four students from each grade who have been elected by their peers. This small group works throughout the school year to promote opportunities for the spiritual growth of students and staff, to sponsor Christ-centered social activities, and to plan and lead various service projects. As members develop their personal leadership skills, they seek to build a positive school culture and work to make a difference in the Lincoln community and beyond. 

The middle school student council has works diligently to serve the student body and the community. Students provided feedback to middle school teachers, help set up for Fun Nights, and encouraged student involvement in high school student council events. The middle school student council also services beyond the Lincoln Lutheran Family as well. They have contributed to Valentine's for Vets, organized a food-can drive for People City Mission, and made May Baskets for local nursing homes.

Comprised entirely of high school students, Journalism provides the Lincoln Lutheran community with the design of the annual Reflection yearbook. Students are responsible for supplementing the annual cost of the yearbook by raising funds, usually through sponsorships within the publication by local businesses and the sale of student picture buttons. Using online software from Walsworth Publishing Company, students take on the challenging tasks of theme development, composition, and layout of the yearbook. The final product is then printed and bound by Walsworth before distribution the following school year. Throughout the course, students learn about the history and ethics of journalism, alongside instruction in the basics of photography and photojournalism. 

The Lincoln Lutheran Community Outreach Leadership Team (COLT) consists of high school students who apply and are selected based upon academics, integrity, and a willingness to serve. COLT's mission is to live out 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Students from the team coordinate the Lincoln Lutheran student body serve on our campus, in the city of Lincoln, and around the country.

In the recent past, COLT has coordinated our student body in serving:

• Members of the Lincoln community in need at Jacob’s Well (Lincoln Food Bank)

• Conducted fundraisers with proceeds going to local faith based charities.

• Participated in the “Night to Shine” prom-like event for people with special needs.

• Recruited volunteers to serve the Bridges of Hope prison Ministry and their annual 5K Hungry Turkey run.

• Personally served victims of recent natural disasters through Samaritan’s Purse.

The Tech Center students are individuals who have given up their Advisory Period to help their teachers and fellow students with technology related problems. They perform troubleshooting and maintenance on a wide range of software and equipment and serve a vital role in ensuring that the technology at Lincoln Lutheran operates smoothly and works for everyone. Each year Tech Center students also conduct a Technology Sale to purchase devices for students who can not afford them. Students in grades 9-12 can apply to be a member of the Tech Center.
