LINCOLN LUTHERAN'S TOP SELLING BOOKS (May 2014)

Miss Carr's 7th grade English class created some pretty awesome pieces of writing this year. One such recognizable piece was a handmade children's book, completed in the spring. Students worked in groups of 2-4 to re-create a biblical account (of their choosing) in a modern setting, for an elementary audience. After two weeks of hard work the students traveled next door to Trinity Lutheran elementary school and presented their books to the 2nd-5th grade classes. This opportunity was one of great enjoyment for both parties.

As a way for each 7th grade student to have access to a copy of their children's book, Miss Carr scanned and uploaded them to an online site (lulu.com), formatting each book into a color, paper-back book. If you are interested in seeing these creative pieces and reading their inspirational messages (or even ordering a copy!) please check out the selection of books by clicking on the links below. The hope is that next year, with the 1:1 initiative, students will be able to do the uploading OR even the creation of their book with an electronic device themselves.

Praise God for the young, spirit-led minds of the world.
