On November 24th, Lilla Mather and Anna Stuckwisch were recognized at the Nebraska State Capitol for their impressive achievement at the national SkillsUSA competition this past June, where they placed third. The duo received a prestigious Commissioner’s Award from Nebraska Department of Education Secretary Brian Maher, presented alongside Governor Pete Ricketts.

Lilla and Anna competed in the Robotics – Urban Search and Rescue event, a challenging competition that requires students to design and build a robot capable of navigating various terrains, opening and closing doors and mailboxes, and transporting simulated ordinance. In addition to demonstrating their robot, competitors must pass a written exam and deliver a detailed presentation to a panel of judges, showcasing both technical knowledge and teamwork.

A special thank-you goes out to Ryan Crable and Mr. Rickords, who served as dedicated advisors for the SkillsUSA chapter and supported the team throughout their preparation.

Congratulations to Lilla and Anna for representing our school with excellence—Way to go, Warriors!
