Lancaster County DHM 11/13/2020

From the Executive Director -

This afternoon the LLCHD announced a new DHM that will begin Monday, November 16th. The DHM has a direct impact on our ministry as it includes a complete shutdown of K-12 youth sports in Lancaster County for the next 3 weeks. A copy of the new DHM can be found HERE.

In response to the DHM, Lincoln Lutheran will suspend all student sports activities until the DHM is revised or rescinded. This means no before or after school activities will take place on our campus to include the gyms, Wellness Center and WCAP. Non-athletic activities will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The campus will also be closed to any outside groups with the exception of Community Harvest Church which uses our campus on Sunday morning.

While we are very disappointed our students will not be able to participate in activities in the coming days, it is our prayer that this step will help to slow the number COVID-positive cases in Lincoln, thereby giving our students a better chance to salvage the remainder of the winter activity season. As a reminder, this measure will only work if we as a school community do everything we can to make wise choices regarding social interactions away from school.

Thank you for your understanding and for your partnership in ministry.
