Join the LL Drama Department for their Fall Theatre Showcase Nov. 13-15! This year the MS drama will be "A Complete History of Theatre" and humorous take on Theatre throughout the decades. The High School Competitive One-Act players will present "Gossip" and poignant drama focused on a high school teen who lives up to her name, Gossip. Warriors Win! Congratulations to the LL Warriors Volleyball Team win in the first round of State VB against a tough Kearney Catholic team. Warriors will be playing in the second round games on Friday. We will once again have a 2:30 dismissal on Friday - No After School Care. Be watching for emails with all the details for tickets. Tuesday, Nov. 10 will be the evening where coaches will be holding parent meetings for any student who is planning on playing Basketball or Wrestling. All these meetings will be held virtually. Each coach is planning their own way of hosting those meetings so be looking for information coming directly from the coaches. If you indicated in E-Registration your child is interested in participating Basketball or Wrestling - the coaches will have your name. If you didn't, please contact the school office, or the coach directly.
Congrats to the Warriors VB team on making it to STATE! The Warriors play on Wed. afternoon. To that end we will be using the 2:30 Early Dismissal schedule on Wednesday. Warriors VB is headed to Kearney High to play Ogallala in the District Final at 2 pm Sat. With a win, LL will be facing early dismissals as we head into State VB play beginning 11/4. Make certain you have the app, receive push notifications, and LL has your cell number so you receive last minute texts about changes in school schedule.
Have some old laptops or other tech "stuff" lying around the house? Looking to make room? Lincoln Lutheran's Tech Crew will be hosting their Technology Sale on Sat. Nov. 21. You can donate anything that is tech related (laptops and devices have always sold the best) by bringing it to the Lincoln Lutheran Dock on the South East side of the building. Look for the box labeled "Tech Sale". Please include any charging cords when possible. Donations must be made by Nov. 6.
The Winner of the Food Bank Food Fight is... THE HIGH SCHOOL! Thanks so much to all of those who donated coins and dollars. We raised just over $330 to donate to the Lincoln Food Bank to help those in our community who are facing food insecurity. Grades 9-12 StuCo Members will be getting in touch with their classmates this week to plan out a menu of favorite hot lunches to come in the future! With Lincoln Lutheran and Raymond Central wins last night - both teams will face off in the Sub-District Championship game tonight here at LL beginning at 6:30 pm. There will not be a limit on fans attending; however, as always, face coverings must be worn. The game will be live streamed at the LL STRIV channel.
Donate your old electronics to Lincoln Lutheran! We'll clean them up, erase any data that you have on them, sell them, and use the money for technology improvements at Lincoln Lutheran. Laptops and tablets sell particularly well, but we'll take anything. Donations should be at Lincoln Lutheran by Friday, November 6th to give us time to get items ready for our Tech Sale on Saturday, November 21st. The Community Outreach Leadership Team is holding a bracelet fundraiser to raise money for student mission trips with Samaritan’s Purse, neighborhood outreach, Chapter 25 events, and other service opportunities. Lincoln Lutheran is proud to be hosting Volleyball Sub-Districts on Monday and Tuesday (10/26-27). On Monday, games will begin at 4:15 pm Lincoln Christian vs Milford; 6 pm Raymond Central vs Malcolm and 7:45 pm LL vs the winner of game one. Doors will NOT open until 20 min BEFORE each game to give us time to clear out the gym from the previous game. ALL spectators will have to leave after their game or re-pay admission. Masks will be required by everyone. Concessions will close after the 4th set of each game (should the game go to 5) and will not re-open until the doors open for the next game. Fans from the winning team of game one will receive admission into game three for free. Check out the LL STRIV channel for streaming.
Don’t forget Picture Retake Day is Friday! If you need to retake your photo or if you missed the first Picture Day, be ready to take your picture first thing Friday morning. If you are re-taking make certain you bring back you picture packet to turn in.
For Thursday's Music Concerts, we do not have limitations on who can attend. We do ask you to remain masked the entire time you are in the building. We also ask that you stay with your group when you are sitting and try to space yourselves out. If you are NOT attending both concerts, please exit as soon as the concert is over - we can't have groups gathering to meet with students. Thank you!
We have slowly been moving towards "digital" programs. The reason for the change is in part due to issues with handing things to people and COVID. This also saves us A LOT of personnel time, paper and copy costs over the course of the year. Anyone with a smart phone can scan a QR code. The newest OS will automatically open your QR code reader if you focus your camera on the QR code. Any QR code reader should be able to read our codes. If you need a reliable QR code reader the top rated with iOS and Android is Kaspersky QR Scanner in the App store or QR Scanner in Google Play. Please note, the programs are saved as a .pdf - if you phone isn't able to open a .pdf, you will have issues. Please look for an App that will read .pdfs (most Android and iPhones have this feature built in). Please join the Lincoln Lutheran Music Department for the first concert of the season on Thursday, Oct. 22nd. The Middle School Music students will host their concert beginning at 6:30 pm and the High School students will host their concert beginning at 7:30 pm. No admission cost, but a free-will donation will be gathered to support the Music Department.
