Celebrate Lincoln’s Class of 2020 on May 24 at 8:20 p.m. We are asking for the community’s help in honoring and celebrating this year’s graduating class. On Sunday, May 24, at 8:20 p.m. (20:20 military time), we encourage everyone in Lincoln to step outside or open their windows to cheer this year’s seniors. High school seniors will then be able to walk into their neighborhoods wearing their caps and gowns and hear the celebrations across the city.

Summer Office Hours: As of today (May 18th) we have moved to our Summer Office Hours of 10 am -2 pm. If you need to drop something off, or need a question answered feel free to call us during those hours. SCRIP will run as normally, but please make adjustment to pick up as needed.

Sports Camp Update: Along with the Governor's announcement earlier this week, the NSAA has provided guidelines as well.
- As of June 1, weightroom use will be allowed. There will still be a limit of 10 people in a group. We are working on a plan that will include several groups working but in different spaces and not having interaction with each other. Those plans will be communicated when finalized. We are looking forward to having students back in here working out as soon as we are able and are committed to doing this in a safe manner.
- All summer athletic camps, clinics, and open gyms for any sport are still prohibited. We are working with coaches on being prepared and having contingency plans if we are given the ok to have athletic camps and open gyms again. Ultimately, we must follow the guidelines of the NSAA.
Here is the information from the NSAA:
NSAA Update
As a result of the Governor’s announcement on May 11, beginning June 1st NSAA member schools are permitted to open weight rooms for voluntary strength and conditioning sessions.
Prioritizing the health and safety of all students and staff must remain the focus of each NSAA member school.
These requirements must be followed when conducting voluntary strength and conditioning sessions:
Maintain social distance by being 6 feet apart
Follow gathering guidelines of groups of 10 or less students
Groups of 10 or less must be pre-determined
Once groups determined, students may not switch from one group to another
Interaction between groups shall be avoided
Sessions can only include weightlifting, running, and exercises designed to promote physical fitness.
Sport-specific drills are not permitted, and sport-specific equipment may not be used.
Implement diligent and effective cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces following the guidance of the CDC
It is the responsibility of each NSAA member school to comply with the above requirements.
Additionally, NSAA member school sponsored camps, clinics and open gyms are prohibited in any sport at this time.
Should the conditions warrant, these requirements will be adjusted.
Any further official updates will be posted on the NSAA website and the NSAA social media platforms.

Dear Parents, Students, and School Personnel,
A little more than two weeks ago, your Lutheran Schools of Lincoln administrators met to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on our schools for the first time. Your teachers and staff quickly responded with learning resources for your child, full of hope that we would return to campus in early April. Sadly, the face-to-face reunion we anticipated is delayed yet again.
Wednesday night Governor Ricketts issued a broad and statewide Directed Health Measure (DHM) directing schools across Nebraska to not return to a normal status in the current school year. Instead, schools should continue to operate for the remainder of the year without students in their buildings. This statewide DHM is certainly a disappointment, but it does clarify the path we are on for the rest of the school year.
Additional information will be sent through email

Dear Parents, Students, and School Personnel,
Thank you for your ongoing support of your children and our school ministry during this ever-evolving situation in our community and nation. The Lutheran Schools of Lincoln administrators met again today in an effort to share a unified communication with our school families.
Lincoln and Lancaster County are now under a Directive Health Measure (DHM) until at least May 6. The Nebraska Department of Education Commissioner has strongly encouraged schools to plan to offer only distance learning instruction for the remainder of the school year. The NDE can only suggest a course of action for schools. Right now we must abide by the DHM for our local community.
With a DHM in place, we know for certain we are unable to return to campus before May 7 unless renewed, extended or terminated by community leaders. We continue to hold out hope we will be able to return to our campuses, even if only briefly. It is our desire to allow families, students, and faculty time to see one another and celebrate the conclusion of a successful year together.
Please check email for additional information.

Starting Monday 3/30, the school's office will be open ONLY on Monday and Thursday from 10 am -2 pm. We will be available via email every weekday. If you need to connect with someone in the office or need to pick up something from a teacher other than during those days and times, you will have to make an appointment with that person. These hours will remain in effect until conditions change. Thank you for understanding.

All NSAA activity practices and competitions are suspended through May 1st. These suspensions may be extended should the conditions warrant. The NSAA encourages all member schools to follow CDC, local, state and federal health department recommendations.

Congratulations to the 2020 Centennial All-Conference Basketball recipients. All Conference: Joshua Puelz, Elayne Poppe, Kayla Steinbauer. All Conference Honorable Mention: Luke Volin, Tice Jenkins, Lexie Kreizel, Shanae Bergt
